The New Year is Coming Soon!

Are you a resolution maker?

I was just read something from Jeffrey Gitomer ... one of my sources for sales inspiration. "A goal is a dream with a plan." Jeffrey goes on to state that if you don't have a plan how can you achieve your goals.

I'm thinking of setting up my Goals and my Plan to achieve them in '08. I just have this feeling... A feeling that '08 is going to be one heck of a year!!!! So I better get prepared and plan it out!

Ever have a question you couldn't find the answer to?

Just call Auburn University's Foy Information Line (334-844-4244).What started in the 1950s as a resource for students needing information about campus services has evolved into an information database service that answers any questions a caller comes up with. It's like having your own talking Google. The hotline (334-844-4244) operates 24 hours a day Monday-Thursday and until 9 p.m. on weekends. And please note, it is not a 1-800 number, and long-distance charges do apply.

(Thank you to JustSell.com for this interesting tidbit)

I'm trying to think of an off the wall question that I need answered so I can put them to the test... any suggestions?

Christmas can get expensive!

I know first hand that Christmas can get expensive. With Three kids, wife, and dog... and myself included the pile under the tree isn't free!

I found this an interesting list...

This year "The Twelve Days of Christmas" will cost your True Love $19,507, an increase of 3.1% over last year, according to the 23rd Annual PNC Christmas Price Index. That rise is consistent with the 3.5% increase in the U.S. government's Consumer Price Index so far this year.

Here's the breakdown of the 12 days...
1. Partridge in a Pear Tree - $164.99
2. Turtle Doves - $40
3. French Hens - $45
4. Calling Birds - $599.96
5. Gold Rings - $395
6. Geese-a-Laying - $360
7. Swans-a-Swimming - $4,200
8. Maids-a-Milking - $46.80
9. Ladies Dancing - $4,759.19
10. Lords-a-Leaping - $4,285.06

Wii Wii Wii all the way home

Yes, it does seem like the hottest thing since sliced bread this Christmas is a Wii game system from Nintendo. My kids so wish that there would be one under the tree this Christmas. So where do you find one this late in the game?

You could go to http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0009VXBAQ/ref=pd_bbs_olp_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1197330308&sr=8-1 and pay $470 for a used system and even more for a like new one... LOL!

or you can wait for a small and I mean small shipment to come in to a local store and sit in line for four hours to only be denied!

This story is to be continued post Christmas :-)

ScatterBrained!

Do you ever get scatterbrained? What do you do about it?

Drink Coffee,tea, powerdrink,water,... etc...
Exercise?
Meditate?

Sometimes it seems a million things are going through my brain and I need to slow down. It seems that just getting up and distracting myself for a few minutes brings me back to reality so I get things done.

hmmmm..... well I'm off that was my 2 min distraction!

Nothing to be too down about this Monday.

It's not raining and the Bears Won. It doesn't hurt that the Cubs got swept either. Can you tell I'm a Sox fan. Even the Blackhawks won against the Red Wings at the home opener. Shoot the Chicago Fire won too!

The Bears win was a great highlight to an already pretty good weekend. I'll be honest I had them losing by a lot. So I'm more than glad of the result. We still have a chance in the division.

GO BEARS!!!!

SOFIA's Birthday

Today is Sofia's Birthday. She turns 7!!!!.... she is such a cutey. We had a grand party at our house with 11 screaming kids. Pam turned the living room into a Unicorn forest. Yes our house was one exciting place where the princesses made crowns, decorated treasure boxes, annhilated the unicorn statue (pinata), learned the enchanted forest dances from Zoe (11), and pinned the horn on the unicorn. William (3) just was a little overwhelmed by all the girls. What fun... pizza, cake and presents followed!

Most importantly Sofia felt like a princess and had a ton of fun.

Happy Birthday Sofia!

Memory is the second thing to go!

It's so hard to stay current with this stuff. I just can't seem to remember to do it.

I promised myself at least one posting a week starting today. Monday does seem to be the best day to post.
