Day 56 end of week 6

I didn't like the workout today. I never do when he has 4 iterations per cycle with 8cycles. too many different things to do. I still got a good sweat going and I could barely do some of the exercices.

Old Testament Reading
Exodus 37; Exodus 38 TNIV

New Testament Reading
Mark 8:14-38; Mark 9:1 TNIV

Every one always quotes "What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul!" But they don't continue

Old Testament Reading
Exodus 31; Exodus 32; Exodus 33:1-6 TNIV

The Lord calls the Israelites stiff-necked people and based on these accounts he was being polite. unfortunately similiar to our own lives these days it doesn't take very much to get us to go back to our sinful ways and to forget the glory the Lord has bestowed on us.

New Testament Reading
Mark 6:30-56 TNIV

The miracle of Jesus feeding five thousand with 5 loaves and 2 fish. Then Jesus walks on Water and due to the lack of understanding in their amazement the disciples hearts are hardened. Interesting! How many people today reject God? Their hearts are hard because they just don't get it.

Exodus is in the sections were God is giving the instructions to Moses to build the temple, Altar, Tabernacle, consecrate priests etc...

This is not to be taken lightly by the israelites because the end result of incorrectly performing the rituals are death.

New Testament Reading
Mark 6:6-29 TNIV

The more you read into how Jesus lived and his actions especially after you read parts of the Old Testament it really makes you think that God just got tired of how things were and he wanted to set things straight with his children. It only makes me think of now that it is a few thousand years later. How does he feel?

Day 45

Walking the Zoo for exercise today. I love going there in winter!

Old Testament Reading
Exodus 15; Exodus 16 TNIV

This is an interesting part of the story of Moses. The Israelites have been saved by several Miracles. God made himself known to them through a cloud and swallowed Egypt's army in the Red Sea. Yet, when challenged again they all begin to grumble! This is really the hard thing with life. I can say that in my life I was saved miraculously and then new trials came to my life. New challenges that have you crying out to God for help. The mood in the steps and crying out is what I think is important. Using Job as an example. One thing to call out and another thing to gripe!

Jesus has Risen!

Psalm 21:8-13 TNIV

Happy Valentines Day Pam!

Pam,

Sixteen Years ago was our first Valentines day together. We first knew each other seventeen years and some months ago in 92' but we didn't start dating until the summer of 93. We met at Twentysomethings small group gathering on Tuesdays and began dating officially on the Fourth of July weekend in 93. This of course means that on Dec 31st we will have been married 17 years. This means if I buy you the modern anniversary gift this year it would be furniture. This is a good thing cuz God knows that we need new furniture in a bad way. We have had our share of downs the last few years and getting through it together has been a huge up! I'm excited about the future because it has you in it. When we are together all the craziness around us is so much easier to handle. We have both grown as people over the years. Our hearts and minds have been stretched through the trials of life and we stand better because we survived it all together. For better or for worse. Our love has seen the worse and we are better for it.

I love you Pam more today then ever before.

Day 44

Today's workout brought to me by the Girl Scout Cookie distribution. box hauling!

Proverbs 4:20-27 TNIV

20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.

21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;

22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to one's whole body.

23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

24 Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.

26 Give careful thought to the [a] paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.

27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.

Day 43

It really is weird now to not workout early in the morning. I will have to start getting up early on Fridays and doing my own thing. This is a crazy weekend too with Zoe at Blast weekend in the dells and extra activities for us at church. Valentines day to say the least.

Day 42/365 end of week 4 (one month of working out!)

Honestly, I did not want to get out of bed at 4:30 this morning. My back felt tight and I was telling myself just stay asleep stay in bed. then the alarm went off at 4:45 and I said heck with it. I can workout the tightness.

The workout was killer today but I know I didn't push myself hard enough. I could of and should of done better. still I worked up a good sweat and now one month of working out at www.undergroundcorefitness.com is down. I haven't actually lost any weight yet. But I have reduced by at least two sizes in the upper body. My suit buttons can button. and my neck is down 1/2 a size. I am starting to build the endurance up as well and I feel much stronger than I have in years!

My Goal is fitting into the suits my mom bought me about 9 years ago. (probably another 7-8 sizes down. and getting my neck down to 17 from 18 1/2 (was at 19) I'm thinking a core weight of 225 would be awesome! another sixty pounds to go! I got out of the hospital in 2008 weighting around 265 and got to over 300 by early 2009 and then I just started to watch what I ate and dropped to 285 and that is where I have been for the last month.

Old Testament Reading
Exodus 9; Exodus 10 TNIV

Pharoah's heart is so hard that he does not let the Hebrew people go. Even as Egypt is ruined around him he does not let them go. As soon as he makes a decision to let them go he changes his mind. Plague after plague!

More from Steve Farber "Radical Leap"

"Relationships in the world of Business are won in Analogous ways," " By paying nearly obssessive attention to the needs,desires,hopes,and aspirations of everyone who touches your business. by knowing not only when to stand firm on principle -- there is such a thin as tough love-- but also when to sacrifice some of your own short term needs in order for us to all be successful in the long run. And by proving through your own actions that you really love your business, customers, your colluges and employees."

I love it!!!!! (pun intended)

Day 41/365 Day 3 of week 4

EARTHQUAKE this morning. The cat woke me up about ten minutes before the quake and then I couldn't tell what it was. It felt like a big train going by. ( since we live by tracks this is a common occurence. ) But I heard no train. That was the first Quake I have ever felt.

Workout was extra tough and I couldn't make it all the way through when my back got tight on lower right side. I stopped before I did any serious damage to it and stretched with back exercises. I don't usually have back pain but then again if you sum up the last three four years. I don't usually work out.

Old Testament Reading
Exodus 6:13-30; Exodus 7;Exodus 8 TNIV

"Love generates Energy, inspires Audacity, and requires Proof. LEAP, is simply the Extreme Leaders active, dynamic expression of love."

This basically sums up what is missing in most people as they trudge through the day!
I think that a christ-follower who is truly trying to make a difference should be LEAPing through life! Nobody expoused the meaning of LEAP more than Jesus!

Then got home to the internet doesn't work. which took 20 minutes on the phone with ATT. the actual tech call was easy cuz I needed help changing my password. this though made me miss my 8am con call.
